As the sticks & stones adage runs through my mind I realize yet again, just how much things have changed. But still, somehow repeating this to myself brings comfort. As I say it, it’s clear it was never the words themselves, but the action of repeating the phrase that was pleasing to me all those years ago. And now, much older, the part that pleases me most is over 7 CTS of diamonds, rubies and pink tourmaline, set in warm 14k yellow gold creating a blissful, bright and protective moat around me.
