This fierce little ring is the start of everything. I had always loved jewelry; even when I was little I tried to get my dad to quit his job and open a family jewelry shop (this was so far from happening, no one was even considering it, aside from me). Many, many years later when I moved to New York, a friend was talking to a mystic in India. With about as many loose ends in life as one can have, I told her to hand me the phone I needed to chat. He informed me my future happiness depended on my wearing approximately 4 CTS of emeralds on my right pinky finger. Thrilled to have an excuse to NEED jewels and less thrilled by this seemingly unhelpful solution, I designed my ring and found my new jeweler. Skip ahead nearly a year, I was a last minute invite to an intimate birthday dinner, at which another guest admired my pinky ring…and my first commissioned piece came to be. Snev, the ever-so-stylish guest, has since become family to me. So what could I have named this ring other than Super Powers.
